Seekers of New Orleans-themed Mardi Gras festivities need look no farther than the first-ever CNY Jazz Mardi Gras celebration at Persimmons Restaurant in Baldwinsville’s Timber Banks community on Fat Tuesday, Feb. 13.
The Persimmons staff has created food and drink offerings that includes Cajun Andouille Gumbo, Jambalaya, stuffed Poblanos, Oyster Po’Boys, Blackened Chicken, and classic New Orleans drink specials. Party beads will be distributed to everyone at entry. The centerpiece of the evening is an appearance by the entire 6-piece Soda Ash Six, Syracuse’s premier Dixieland Band, performing from 6 to 9 p.m.
