Ithaca elementary school damaged after car rammed into building during chase, police say

Ithaca, N.Y. — An Ithaca elementary school was damaged after a car was rammed into it repeatedly during a police chase Thursday, police said.

At 9:55 p.m. an Ithaca police officer saw a vehicle driving fast in the Falls Creek area, police said. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle but it kept going, police said.

The driver, whose identity was not released, hit a parked car, ramming it into Falls Creek Elementary School, police said.
