The South Lewis girls and the Sauquoit Valley boys team each won a title at the Section III Class C indoor track and field championships on Thursday at the SRC Arena on the Onondaga Community College campus.
South Lewis collected 95 points to claim their title. Pulaski was second with 84 points and Sauquoit Valley took third with 68 points.
Falcons senior Brynn Bernard led the way by taking two events. She captured the 1,000 run in 3:06.21 and the 1,500 run in 5:07.43. Senior Mallory Kraeger was also victorious for South Lewis, winning the 3,000 run in 11:58.30.
Dual winners included Sauquoit Valley’s Addison Lazarek with a personal record time of 42.28 in the 300 run and a leap of 8-00.75 in the long jump.
Pulaski’s Nora Tighe captured the shot put in 38-04.50 and the weight throw with a toss of 41-03.25.
Cato-Meridan won both the 1,600 and 3,200 relays.

Boys
Sauquoit Valley edged South Lewis 82.5 to 75 to win the Class C crown. Tully placed third with 46.5 points.
While the Red Hawks had no dual event winners, the team did take three events at the competition. Nathan Hanna tuned in a personal record throw of 52-09.50 in the shot put.
South Lewis’ Collin Stafford and Tully’s Ryan Rauber were each triple event winners.
Stafford recorded victories in the 3,200 run in 10:08.65, the 1,000 run in 2:48.21 and the 1,600 run in 4:32.4.
Rauber won the 55 dash in 6.71, the 600 run in 1:26.87 and he recorded a personal record best 35.62 in the 300 run.
