Syracuse, N.Y. -- A Syracuse teen charged with murder was sentenced Thursday after he previously pleaded guilty to attempted robbery.

Instead of facing 25 years to life if convicted of murder, Carlito Walls, 17, was sentenced by Judge Matthew Doran to 1⅓ to 4 years in prison and granted youthful offender status.
