The The USA U-17 Women’s Youth National Team is on to the 2024 CONCACAF Championship semifinals, where they’ll square off with the Haiti U-17 team at Mini Estadio de la Federación Mexicana de Futbol in Toluca, Mexico on Friday, February 9 (2/9/2024) at 1 p.m. ET.

The USA breezed through the Group Stage of the competition, culminating in a 5-0 win over their Canadian Rivals on the third matchday. Five different players found the net on Tuesday, including both of the team’s professional players, San Diego Wave FC midfielder Melanie Barcenas and KC Current forward Alex Pfieffer. They were joined by tallies from Leena Powell, Kennedy Fuller and Y-Lan Nguyen.

All together, the United States women put up a staggering 21 goals across three matches in the Group Stage, thanks largely to their 13-0 win over Panama to start the tournament. Now they’ll square off with Haiti in the semifinals. Their opponents had a less smooth path through the tournament, going 2-1, and getting shut out 4-0 in Game 3 against Mexico.

That leaves Canada vs. Mexico on the other side of the bracket in a game that will be played later Friday afternoon. If the USA beats Haiti, they’ll advance to the final, and guarantee their spot in the next U-17 Women’s World Cup. It also means that they could face a rematch with Canada before the end of the tournament.
