Aaiden Diggs has the genes to someday become an NFL player, but he’s already talking trash at an All-Pro level.
The son of Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs and nephew of Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs was in Miami for the Pro Bowl Games practice on Friday and made a point to introduce himself to New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner. After a brief introduction, Aaiden Diggs went on to roast Gardner.
“Sauce, what’s up? You trying to talk trash about my uncle (Stefon). I heard you,” Diggs told Gardner to the enjoyment of coach Ray Lewis and some of the other players viewing the interaction. “And look what happened. He scored on you on that Week 1 game.”
To Gardner’s credit, the cornerback was a good sport and entertained Diggs’ trash talk knowing full well he wasn’t guarding Diggs on the touchdown in question. Although he was a bit off in the details, Stefon Diggs could not ask for a better nephew.
